YOUR MATH ISNT VERY CLOSE....

You could cut four of those 10 inch squares across.. thats four in a 10 inch row.

42 (or 44) would require 11 of those strips, thats 10" x 11 strips, 110 inches.

3 yards would be 108 inches. So you are getting about THREE YARDS OF FABRIC... Layer Cakes are Moda, which is about $10 a yard common quilt shop price. Thats $30.

SO... You are paying around $5 for the enjoyment of having 42 mostly different squarers of lovely Moda fabric....normally with a theme or common coordinated idea... And besides the variety, they are precut to the 10x10 inch size and if you bought them for a book or pattern that starts with 10x10 inch squares, then half of the cutting is done for you. Its not a bad deal at all ! sheeps
