Here's the queen-size quilt I made for my sister for Christmas. She loves patriotic themes. The flag in the center is made bargello-style, and I built the quilt around it. There were a few times I almost pulled my hair out, but it finally came together.

She "kind of" has an idea that she's getting a quilt for Christmas, but doesn't know for sure, or what the theme is. We'll give it to her on Christmas Day. :)

I quilted it with wavy lines, as if the flag is waving in the breeze.

I'm not totally "in love" with the border fabric, but it's some that I inherited from our grandmother, and I wanted to use it for sentimental reasons. :)
