Okay first my Bernina is getting
Old, like almost 30 years old!! And they told us that Bernina is no longer making parts for my machine(although they still have parts in stock at the shop I go to) so DH decided that even though mine is in good shape we couldnt pass up a deal like this. It has needle up/down that my Bernina didnt, it has the actual blanket stitch (I just used the blind hem stitch narrowed up ), it came with the walking foot, which I didnt have. It has speed control that I think will come in real handy. I cant think right now what all it does have! At the lessons, they just showed me how everything works, Did almost all of the stitiches and she helped me with Free motion quilting and I have to say it didnt look bad at all!!! Just a basic run down on all the features, how to thread it and wind the bobbin, stuff like that.
The Needle threader pulls down, kind of wraps around the needle, then you wrap the thread around the threader, release it and VOILA! your needle is threaded!!! It is great!!!! Especially since I have noticed in the last few years the needle eyes are getting smaller and smaller all the time!!!!! :wink:
