Fons and Porter has a cool way of making bias binding from a square you turn into a tube. It is in their big quilting book. It takes some time lining your lines up but a basting stitch first works great.

Yeah, that's how to make continuous binding. I do it all the time. It's amazing how much binding comes out of that one square.
