My DH called me before he headed home from work to tell me that he had been in ER for high blood pressure most of the day. He was feeling ok and it had gone way down. I knew it was high last night but it had gone down. He made it home ok and as we were watching TV he mentioned that if I had reminded him to take his meds last week when he was stressed it wouldn't have gotten so high. I was speechless for a moment. I reminded him that he is supposed to take his pills everyday even when he feels fine. He came back with, it would have been easier to take them if I hadn't "lost" all the weekly pill boxes. He never takes a rx for longer than 3 days in row any way, and gets angry when I ask him if he takes his pill.
