If is the one Hancock's sales, I looked at it at the store and it is kinda dinky. They put it on sale all the time for $39.00. I started to buy one to take for travel but decided my Kenmore Free arm didn't weight that much and I would just use it. Also thought about one for for granddaughter and got to looking and there is one on Sears web page that is just for kids. It really sews. It might be more of what you want for a kid. I may buy that one for my dgd for Christmas. Later she will be getting my first sewing machine that has more power. Don't want her to sew her fingers like grammie has been known to do. It may be that it sews OK but I really thought it was too light weight. Maybe if you can find one in the store they will let you try it out. Deb
