Just priced the Elna 740 eXellence, the Elna version of the Horizon. $2999, no promo or discount since it's new. Only one foot that fits the Accufeed comes standard. On board foot storage is cool, but if I were buying now, I'd go with the Janome Horizon with more Accufeed feet, and a promo of roller bag and thread and what not, supposedly $250 value. And Janome avail for $2500. Pfaffs with 10" throat also all more than $1500 around here. For $1000, either a Juki with fewer stitches or the Janome 6600 with autocut but no freearm or the Babylock Quest Plus with free arm, no auto cut, but a dual feed which is closer to the Pfaff IDT, if not identical. You'd have to bargain for the BLQP for $1000, but I think you could get there. I have one ($1300+extras) and it's FABULOUS!
