Its commonly accepted that a pound has about 3 yards of quilting weight cotton fabric. Some thinner cheaper fabrics might get 4 yards in a pound I guess. Some of the heavier greige goods might end up a tad under 3 yards a pound, but I think 3 yards is pretty standard for quality quilting cottons.
