I make a lot of scrappy quilts using a controlled color way. That means to use all shades of colors you want, plus a few zingers to make it glow. These string quilts have a basic color to bring it together, one with black center strip...the other gold.I've also used the paper bag method & I prefer sewing a light or dark to each other.

I read somewhere to cut all my lights and darks - then put them in a bag (1 bag with lights and 1 bag with darks) then pull out 1 from each bag and sew it together. Is that pretty much how it works? I can use all the help I can get on this please.
