I lived in South Africa, Cape Town 1963-65, I loved your country, it is so beautiful, we did a round trip up the garden route, across to Drakensburg Mountains, home via Durban, Vaslley of Thousand Hills and Orange Free State as it was then, fabulous, but very strange trying to cook a traditional Christmas Dinner for the visiting sailors from the ships. Much better to have a brei (bbq)on the beach. We use to have a traditional tea in a hotel in Adderley Street but cannot remember the name.
