This may pass the galloping horse test -- but it turned out to be NOT a fun project. I am in a condo for the winter -- not so warm FL -- using a borrowed Singer machine -- the tension went screwy and needed to be worked on -- lots of snarly backs on seams. My cutting table was the kitchen counter, I ironed on the top of the stove.

I did have a 6 1/2 X 18 inch ruler and bought a 18 X 24 mat. The machine had a presser foot that was meant for zigzag -- not an accurate 1/4 inch. And the feed dogs are worn. I wasn't about to buy another machine at Goodwill to add to the others I own, as it would have to be packed in the car for the drive to WA along with a lot of clothes, computers, printer and that sort of thing in the spring.

So it definitely isn't my best work. I have posted pix under pictures

Of course, it didn't help that the grandmother (DHs daughter) of this innocent baby is probably the nastiest "child" a new wife will ever meet. I was shocked at her reaction to her father's plans. However -- the quilt is planned as "oil on troubled waters" gift to the baby.

Thanks for letting me vent
