Omak, I'm really glad you understand. I want my quilt to reflect farmers and their wives from all the different times right up to & including the present. Americal runs on the backs of farmers.

I was raised in Kansas. Farming was a very big part of life, even thought I was a city girl. I desperately wanted to be in 4-H, but in Wichita, you had to have livestock & dogs, cats & bunnies didn't count! Had to settle for Scouts. I am loving reading the stories from the contest. We are living in the country now, but only on 2 acres. There is a pasture across the street from us with at least 3 dozen stud bulls - red Herefords & white Charlais. We are facinated with their antics! We also feel sorry for them when the cold wind blows or they are covered in snow. No barns around here - just wide open fields.
