I am so intent on 1/4 inch seam, matching seams, not cutting off points and etc that I find it very annoying to worry about the threads I cut off. I have carpet and they are hard to get up so I bought a desk mat for my sewing area and a hand vac so I can clean them up before I track them on my socks all over the house. This works if I remember to vac befor I leave the sewing room. Gail
