I would contact the seller, and find out if you can return the 5.5 yds, if you don't want it. That will show good faith on the sellers part to let you out of the auction. But if you like the fabric and the 5.5 yda will work, maybe the seller, thought you would have wanted it anyway.
Before leaving negative feedback, give them the chance to make good on the deal to satisfy you the customer.
