Wow, craftybear! I did a pattern to cover pizza boxes, providing a complete sewing kit inside, sewing area on top, and a handle for carrying much like a handbag. Obviously, much more involved than this approach.
HOWEVER, this little lady has provided a quick, quick way to pleasingly store away all kinds of sewing room clutter as well as a take-along project if you don't need a handle. Good stuff.
BTW, her "roman shade" type of shelf covers (to protect fabric, cover mess) is another quick and easy that she's done. What a clever young lady!
