This one was definitely a "Design as you go" top. I started out with a plan...drew it out on graph paper and everything. Started cutting and sewing blocks and completely changed it up! Then changed it up some more...and played a bit...and messed up a bit...and here's the final thing! This one is for my son, the boy in my avatar. :D
