While in South Caroline with my in-laws before Christmas, my MIL mentioned that she had her MIL's sewing machine. When she took the little black case out of the closet I knew it was a featherweight. Very cute, few scratches.

According to the serial number it was mfr'd in late 1935 to early 1936, about the time my FIL was an infant. After an oiling and lubricating by my mother, she still moves stiffly and I've got a new power cord on order. So, soon she will be visiting one of the repairmen in our area.
