to grandma Cindy: I am sorry about confusing measurements in apple cake. Many years ago when I received the above mentioned cake's recipe South Africa still had the English measurements now we have kilograms etc. A 1/2 lb flour is 2 cups flour. In any case it's a joy to know somebody is going to make it. Enjoy.
