Before my Tin Lizzie arrived I ordered a bunch of bobbins and needles from
http://www.sewingmachinesplus.com/sewing-supplies.php and they arrived before the machine! but I find that I use only a couple bobbins because most of my quilting is done with a neutral thread and Lizzie winds a new bobbin while I'm sewing! I like Superior Thread (they make King Tut too) and I honestly think that online is a good way to buy it. Have fun with your Lizzie...and don't forget to check the dipstick often!
