I wrote an article on this once! SEwing is no longer a common place household chore, it is a luxury..there fore you have to work at fitting into your daily routine..just like personal hygiene...right..

#1-First you pick a project. #2-If it is small and something that might be good as an everyday and a holiday item, I find the fabric for more than one..#3- then all fabric is washed/dried and pressed if it has not already had that done. #4-then I cut them out. This might take a day or two depending on the project(s) and the amount of fabrics used.#5- I start to sew. I making multiples of a pattern, I do all of step 1, before moving on...that way all the projects are done at the same time!

I like to take long days and work up "kits" so that when I get those days of only 30 minutes to sew (or less) then I can do just that...mindless sewing...

It is so much easier to sit at the computer though...then the UFO's just pile up though...
