I will be cooking up something for my husband and I for New Years Day (haven't the foggiest idea yet, but something easy - Macaroni and Cheese and hot dogs!!!!!) And while the football games are on, I will watch the game with one eye and work on a Christmas quilt a friend of mine gave me with the other - a Bucilla quilt that is all cross stitch (practically) and by George, it even has little dots where you quilt it by hand. It even came with the backing, batting and quilting thread. It has 23 colors and I am still on the first color (red) and it is driving me up the wall. It is the same thing over and over - red candy canes, red bows, red holly, red border, and I still have red "Merry Christmas" to embroider not to mention four red ornaments and four Santas with tall hats! It isn't that that isn't bad enough, I have to fill in all of this with another color red that is about 1/4 shade darker. Oh, I figure maybe 2020 should do it! I have to put all my quilting stuff away because our tree is right where my sewing station and stuff is. I suppose I could rearrange all my colors from light to dark shades of whatever, but I am not that anal! Red is red, blue is blue! When Christmas and my husband's birthday is over and we have come back from Treasure Island (our local casino) for a birthday overnight, the tree will come down, everything will go back from whence it came and I will get back to working on my three colored quilt. Hey, thanks for asking! Edie
