I read this morning that beginning January 1, 2012 all meat and meat products have to have Nutrition Facts Panels on the packaging.

It should be very eye opening for consumers to see what it is that they are consuming.

For example, 4 oz of 73% lean ground beef has 360 calories. That is a ton of calories for such a small amount of food.

I think by 2012 there needs to be an updated version of Read It Before You Eat It.

Just a factoid from me after reading my USA Today this morning. Stay tuned...there is more that will be burped out of me today. LOL!!
