:-D Don't you just love it when "boo-boo's" work out? In quilting, I have never had a failure in colors. Okay, some just aren't as "pretty" as others, but that is okay. I just go into the "colorful" mode then. It's beautiful!!!! I always make my baby quiilts to hopefully last until outgrown around age 5. I have had many be drug to death, washed way beyond. Had one little boy that still had his at age 8, and after all the washings, draggings, going everywhere with him, all the stuffing had pretty well 'shifted' to one end, besides many a repair made for the stuffing that was "leaking" out. He would go to bed, and with little fingers, keep turning that blanket until he found the 'puffy' corner, with his eyes closed all the while. Finally, when he was bathing, mom literally threw it in the cedar chest, to be refolded later. Offering to make him a new one, she declined saying that he needed to get over his "addiction". I lost contact with her a short time later. I often wished that I had made him another one. ;-) Your neice will love it!!!!
