The older, lighter ones were not as powerful, so had their limitations. I have a Black and Decker and it is wonderful for making chenille. (I know, because I tried every other method before my husband bought me the Black and Decker!!)



Unfortunately, I no longer make chenille baby blankets because of the danger of the young ones chewing on them and ingesting the strings. I still use it in wall hangings, snowmen, etc.
