I suggest you go to www.quilterscache.com and see what's there. There are so many easy blocks that deal with just squares and rectangles. Triangles aren't so bad if you learn an easy technique for half-square triangles. Once you've tried a pattern, it will be your favorite too. Rail fence and warm wishes are really easy and can be so stunning. Also look into the quilts for kids. They offer simple pattern suggestions that can work up very well even for larger quilts. I'm thinking of the one with alternating 4-patch and solid blocks or the one with alternating snowball blocks and solid blocks. Easy pattern, but great with great fabrics.
