I've bought my granddaughter Jacks; nowadays you often get a really large size. We played everything from Red Rover and Hide and Seek to kickball and, of course, Hula Hoops. We also played a lot of make-believe games--"house" and "school" being favorites. Chasing fireflies was an after-dark game. My granddaughter has never seen a field of fireflies, though she has seen a few here and there. We also hunted for horned toads and luna moths in East Texas.
