I agree - the only reason old quilts are made of ALL COTTON is because that is all that the clothes were made of! This ALL cotton stuff is taking it too far! As she said - Quilters used what was available. Cotton /polyester holds up very well, shrinks less and is considerably easier to find. I use what is available and never worry about trying to find all cotton. The quilts hold up much better, and all cotton thread is even harder to find today = cotton /poly thread in my quilts too.
