I am sorry for your loss! Right now your heart hurts, and seeing those quilts may hurt. However, if you get rid of them, , you can't get them back. Once some time has passed, you may find it doesn't hurt so bad to see the quilts and you may be glad you kept them. I would suggest you put them away for now and you will know when the time is right to take them out again. Time does not heal all wounds. Some wounds can't be healed as we know from the loss of loved ones, but time does help us be able to handle things we are not able to handle when the hurt is so fresh.
