If you have one of those custom plastic extension tables, and the opening is not wide enough to fit around your new machine, you can "shave" off the plastic to make it fit. I ordered a large table for my Brother VX-970, then upgraded to a Kenmore Elite and the table didn't fit. My DH made the opening wider, it's not perfect but it's stable and I've never had a problem using it.
