I first saw a 3D Bow Tie Quilt over 14 years ago at a TX quilt show and decided to someday make one. This year, I made it for a little girl at church born with Downs Syndrome, as a secret project. I fondly call this my prayer quilt because it took me four months to make it and every time I sat down to work on it, something would go wrong and many times I cried over it. I used the time I worked on it to pray for Olivia and her family. Her grandmother secretly got her and her sibling's hand prints and I incorporated them into the quilt along with the words "sweet", "Olivia", , "hope", and "love." This was my first experience with free-motion quilting, while it was really hard to find my groove, I loved the freedom of it. I'm so glad you stopped by to see this quilt project. Love to hear from you!
