The first quilt I ever made was a sampler lap quilt for my mom in personal care home to keep her warm in her wheelchair. She was so very very proud of the quilt and me and insisted it be hung on her wall. When she passed I quickly grabbed it and took it home with me. For me, it represented a very special moment in time we shared and she was the woman who taught me to sew. I did need to put it away at first but after a while it came out and sits on my bed in my sewing room. Give it time and you will know what you need to do with the quilts.
