No one has mentioned James Patterson.. Tony Hillerman, who writes South West Suspense novels, Jonathan Kellerman, Alex Delaware series, Dick Francis, horse racing mysteries, John D. McDonald.. He uses the title of the book someplace in the story, very clever. Robert B.Parker, one of my favorite, Carl Hiaasen, Sue Grafton, alaphet series, and finally Dana Stabenow, about Alaska and the dog sled races there.. of course we can't forget Agatha Christie... So many great authors..
