Hi. I'm new to sewing message boards in general. I'm probably an advanced beginner sewer/quilter. I need to order online because of where I live. My Pfaff died recently and I'm looking for a machine for quilting and garment mending and construction, with the anticipation that I'll be getting better at both! Needs: budget is about $400-$500, mechanical (worried about moving every few years with a computer machine), and heavy duty construction. I found one I think I like on allbrands.com. Does anyone have experience with the Janome HD3000? Any other suggestions?
