I want to start quilting but don't have the money or the stash. How do I start to build up so I can quilt?
when I started I went to second hand stores and bought white sheets for the back of my quilts, rare finds but I have bought fabric on bolts at the one I go to for a buck, they have dollar day on mondays. Or you can use flannle sheets I've done that too. Use flannel for batting also. I have a quilt my mom made me and plane to use it for batting, the quilt is torn and stained so bad but I hate to part with it. If you know someone who sews they might halp you get started with some of thier stash. or i will send some your way, just ask.
