I just finished my first quilt. It's a rag quilt made out of dinosaur fabric for my nephew. (The colors are truest in the 3rd and 4th photos.) It has some mistakes--the most distressing for me is when I accidentally clipped a block 5 times in a row while ragging it. I carefully appliqued a patch matching the fabric pattern on one side and used the label to cover it on the other. (Lesson learned: don't rag the seam allowances late at night when tired...) It passes the galloping horse test and I'm happy with my results. I consulted the board here more times than I can count while making it and I owe thanks to all of you for sharing your knowledge so generously!
