I have ordered a lot of the Maco cotton thread (same as Aurifil), silk, machine embrodiery, and wool thread from them and the customer service is great.
Tristan has a clearance on Aurifil since they won't be carrying it any longer. Good deals - you should check it out.
Where does it say they won't be carrying it anymore on their site?? They're clearance sale priced in bundles etc. but they've been that way for at least a year.

Click on the Aurifil clearance page, scroll to the bottom and it says "we're clearing out our aurifil threads at unbeatable prices". It's marked down to $5 and many of the most common colors are already out of stock. You just needed to look at little further.
