Every so often I use a homemade floor wash but i don't soak them.Mix 1/2 cup of white vinegar to 2 gallons hot water,with a couple of drops of lemon juice and 1/8 cup dish soap. It makes them shine. I usually go over the floor with a micro fiber mop to dry them it only takes a few minutes. Then you can get back to sewing.
