Howdy y'all :c)

I made a dog bed for a good friend of mine for Christmas. He has a husky named Dillon, and I made him a denim bed. For the top, I used the rag quilt method, but put the edges to the inside. Each square on top had denim on the side that is seen as well as on the inside, with batting in-between, so it's really durable! Most of the jeans I used were old ones I bummed off of friends, but the pocket on top came from a pair that I found at Goodwill. I made rag quilt letters to spell his name in a bandana fabric on the front edge of the bed. Dillon's Dad was THRILLED with it, and I was really happy with how it turned out.

BTW.....I just made my very first quilt back in August. I had always told people that the closest I come to sewing is cross stitching.....I get cross every time I look a needle in the eye! LOL! But a quilting group was started where I work, I figured I'd at least try it, and dang it if I didn't go and get hooked! LOL!
