I don't really have a stash either. I actually went out and bought a yard of fabric and cut it down to size. I wanted to try it on my friend's (late) birthday present because he's into Japanese culture like I am. Plus, I found some wrapping paper that looked similar to my furoshiki wrap which I'm using to wrap his late Christmas quilt. I thought it'd be kind of funny to wrap a fabric based gift with paper and a paper based gift with fabric and have the wrappings have similar designs.
