I've found that to make a OBW or a Stack and Wack (SAW), you need to use that ''G*D AWFUL print fabric that you would normaly pass by and go EWEEEEEE at!! My best SAW have been made out of prints that have designs about the size of your hand.....a country theme with cows, barns, tractors, trees, hills, blue skys. You get the idea? When lined up, cut and then sewn back together, you will get the most interesting designs!!! Be sure to save uncut fabric for the borders and you will have people looking at the orgional print and then going over to one of the blocks.....fun!!

The OBW quilts I've seen, are a bit more ''tame'' and restful to the eye....the designs sort of flow from one to the other but the SAW ( I make ) have wild crazy new designs to enjoy!!
