Sorry I didn't read all the way through but wanted to add I use batting for my swiffer broom. I cut a piece the right size and use it to dust. I also use pieces to dust off my screen or around my sewing machine. I also like to use it to pick up broken glass. The little bits cling to the batting and I feel safe that I got it all.
I also love it for cleaning a DVD that the kids have made a mess of. It is soft and will not scratch as it cleans.
