I was going to mention this. My youngest son worked at Pizza hut so I would have him bring me either med or large pizza boxes (clean & unused) home. I would paint them with white paint then put masking tape on the ends of the pizza boxes labeling the projects that are stored in them. I also store projects in the rubbermaid totes with all the fabrics & directions or pattern for that quilt stored together! LOL I have one from 2002 that is in a tote that I still have not even started! But hey, it there & ready to go when I need it right? I sew barefoot (thought everyone did!), I try to clean up after each project is finished. I hate having to hunt for a piece of fabric right in the middle of a project. Those are my quirks..........
I use unused pizza boxes as well! They're the perfect size for storing blocks for a quilt! DH thought I was nuts when I asked him to bring some from the pizza shop he stops into for lunch but when he explained what and why he wanted them, the woman behind the counter (a fellow quilter) lit up like a light. She loved the idea and now chats his ear off whenever he stops in. He says he may need to go to another lunch place since he gets all the quilt talk he needs at home. :-P
