I got a new Bissel Steam and Vac for Christmas, I love it. It uses less than a pint of water on our 12 x 20 hardwood kitchen/family room floor. Even though I sweep with the broom first, it still vacs up the fine dirt and amazingly there is not a lot of dirt on the pad after the vac goes before the steam pad. Dirt rinses out of the pad easily and what is in the vac part rinses out too, and then what dries on the part it snaps onto just wipes off with a damp paper towel. I love it and my floor has never felt so clean.
