Try letting the affected area soak in pet odor remover (comes in spray bottles) then wash on long wash cycle that includes OxyClean and detergent. May take 2 or 3 washes. What a pain!!!! I've had to wash a quilt, blankets and sheets this way when the cat peed on the bed.
