with tear=away you may have problems with tiny pieces of paper, that's why wash away stabilizer is good. You need to use a zig zag, even a satin stitch or else the stitch line will disappear into the fleece and all your work will go to waste. try out some satin stitches on scrap fleece with stabilizer so you're comfortable with how it will work before you start on your blanket.
