I guess it is all in your perspective. The thing with this is you can get curves with out actually sewing curves. The curves are an illusion.
It isn't hard to do my method at all. It just looks hard but when you break it down it is really easy to do.
Once you make up the Wings blocks you can then sit and move them until you get a design you like. It gives you more leeway than paper piecing. You can make a whole lot of differant looks with the exact same wings blocks.
