OIC. I think you should just play around with the arrangement with the blocks you have and some other ones cut out to applique like you were planning, and see if that's enough. If not, it's probably wouldn't take too long to make another one or two of the pieced ones. No reason to make more than what works, right? Then you'd just have more UFOs to have to deal with, or store (or share~hint, hint :mrgreen: ) Get it arranged the way you think you might want it, then take another picture for us.
