The block was called "Rising Sun". It was originally a square block, four blocks equals the full circle, but I only wanted the topper to be round. It was in EQ6 under contemporary pieced - fans. I enlarged the blocks so I would have an 18" circle and omitted the outer pieces. I used looseleaf paper to print out the patterns - it was very easy to tear off after sewing.
That's beautiful. I particularly love the colors. I have EQ7 but haven't learned how to use it yet. That's encouraging...
