Tell Joey I vote to keep his designs as they are. Rhonda, you might suggest to him it would be hard to make the lop-sided parts of block #1 shown here into a quilt pattern for some of us older quilters/sewers, but that Mama Sheila down in Alabama loves his use of bright, bold colors. I'm bipolar & during the Spring, I can ride down a street & pass colorful flowers that say they are going to jump out with their colorful auras. BTW, I'm also OCD, so we all three have something in common.
Thanks Sheila. I know he has enjoyed reading all of the comments. And yes he doesn't understand the parts that won't translate into actualy piecing. He is using the layouts in the EQ and putting blocks in the spaces so it elongates the block to fit the space sometimes. I think they can be done with paper piecing but paper piecing isn't my thing. So if anyone has ideas how to translate those parts into paper piecing I would love to hear the ideas.
