The number one person, makes a center design of a certain pre determined size... then it goes on to 2 who makes aborder maybe a specified size then on to 3---4 --5 each round can have rules or not..all determined at the start It then goes back to the one who made the center. It may be a very simple process or get complicated according to what each round requires...I am not in one but everyone seems very happy :D I hope that answered a few of your questions.
